O/T Radiator drain on 2010 Caddie SRX?

I want to change the antifreeze in the wife's SUV. Changed the oil and car is up on the ramps but the bottom of the car below the radiator is covered with a big plastic shield. Can't see any drain valve. Can hardly see the radiator. Lots of bolts holding the shield in place. Anyone have any experience with doing this? Not much "do it yourself" help out there for Cadillacs so I'm looking at my Corvair forum to see if there may be a hidden drain so I don't have to remove the plastic cover. Jim

Matt, thanks for the come back. If Caddie did the CTS this way they probably did the SRX the same way. NO drain plug and take off a big panel to access. The SRX has about twice the number fasteners, in this case bolts, to remove the access panel. I was hoping for something like a 2001 Corvette. Quarter inch drive rachet with a 6" extension to turn a spigot at the bottom of the radiator. Jim

Lots of newer vehicles have giant plastic covers with tons of fastener that have to be removed to work on just about anything underneath. The only good thing is most of the fasteners are usually quick release.

There is a good chance its a plastic valve that is easily broken. I just pull one end of the lower hose and not risk that problem.

The aforementioned panels have a purpose...gas mileage.

Also known as a belly pan making the bottom smooth.

We use them in Landspeed (Comp Coupe) all the time.
