Typo above.. CURT - not Curtis...

I just got off the phone with them.

One of 2 things they thing it might be:

1. I need a HD flasher - now that I changed the kind of tail lights

Or IF the above does not work I will have too go with:

2. What they call a Power Converter Part #59190. It has its own power supply from the battery to the controller box.

Both expensive and a total PITA to replace. I have all LEDs now but still use the powered unit. If some thing shorts, it will take out the unit not your vehicle.

If a HD flasher does not do the trick I was told I need to go with the powered version too.

I had to put one of those powered versions in my Mini Cooper years ago as the tail light wiring wouldn't support the extra load of trailer lights. When I sold the car I pulled that out, and I am planning on installing it in my '65 Mercury station wagon resto-mod. They are pretty slick, they just use the turn signals/brakes/running lights as a signal then generates its own voltage to run the trailer lights.

My understanding of an HD flasher is it is designed to carry the extra load of regular bulbs. Since flashers use current to make them flash an HD flasher would be worse in a system that uses LEDs and probably wouldn't work at all. You need an electronic flasher for LEDs.

I didn't say you had them, but I did mention they are available and very bright.

I also didn't say you had them but the thread has been talking about both and flashers too so I though I would mention the difference in flashers.
