Battery

Not to start anything about batteries, too much like oil. I have done a search, read volumes of really good information in the FAQ, even looked at the factory shop manual.
What size battery works well in say a 65 Corsa 180? The shop manual only says a 44AH.
What physical size and CCA works well in the LM? No a/c or large or additional electrical loads.
No preference as to flooded or gel or round cell. No need to reinvent the wheel, just ask and listen.
So thank you all in advance.

How about this:

1965 Group 22F tar top battery. This was the standard battery.
1965 Group 24T tar-top battery, as used in RPO T60.
1966 Group 22FC tar top battery. This was the standard battery.
1966 Group 24TC tar-top battery, as used in RPO T60.

The above info is from Corvair Kid website.

There's a pretty wide range of what will physically fit and the CCA is not that critical to me living in a warm area. Around here any Group 24-26 battery with the top post positive terminal in the correct location is all I look for.

I just got one of these a few weeks ago that was less than a month old for $60 in the automotive clearance section at our local Wally World. Works fine in the 66 Monza.

Thanks guys. I figured a group 24 would fit but could not find it written anywhere.
Now we know.
