Question: Can a convert power top convert to manual?

Latest project is a 1967 Monza convertible with a power top (frame). I want to buy a complete top assembly off a car that was not power assisted. How hard is it to swap over a manual frame to power, or visa versa?

I have done it, it is not hard at all, just make sure you have all the correct parts.

I did this in reverse, manual to power, many years ago. It wasn't hard; I just switched the side rails while leaving the cross bows and header intact.

Since the top is attached to the cross bows, I didn't have to "reinstall" the top. In the intervening years I've heard the side rails are the same but I have no verification of that person's statement.

I realize this isn't answering your specific question but back in the mid 70's I swapped out a complete manual convertible top on my '65 Corsa with another manual convertible top.

I was able to do an even swap by myself in a couple of hours, in the street in front of the house I lived in at the time. I don't recall it being difficult.

If memory serves, I think I paid less than $50.00 for the whole deal at the time which was more affordable for me than paying a shop to install a new one.
Back then my hourly wage was a whole $1.60 an hour at the time so every penny counted. I think I had less than $300.00 in the car at the time.
