Corvair Museum has Moved! - Goodbye Chevy HoF - Hello Route 66!
Date: December 03, 2019 10:01PM

The Fabulous Corvair Museum has moved to a new location on Route 66 south of Springfield, IL.
Check it out: Corvair Museum on Google Maps
Route 66 out of Springfield changed early on to head more directly South. In the late 1960s the 4 Lane Route 66 became U.S. Interstate 55.
10041 Palm Road is the location of the Museum along the access road that was once Route 66.
Mike Hall, president of CPF and an amazing dedicated Corvair Enthusiast has organized the local "Prairie Capital Corvair Club" and worked tirelessly to get the Corvairs & Displays moved during November.
That is DONE and the new Museum is now being finished.
This month will see the Museum re-open and 2020 will see a big kick-off Grand Opening event.
Financial support is critical - I encourage all Corvair Clubs to become monthly supporters to help cover the lease costs. Our local chapter donates $40/mo. I'm sure yours could too!
Corvair Museum annual memberships are available NOW HERE

Does the museum share space with the Lucky Moon Saloon ? That would be convenient !!

Indeed, it shares the same building - Lucky Moon is on the South end and Corvair Museum is in the large Center section.
Patrons of the Lucky Moon are vairy excited to see the Corvairs moving in! BIG News in Glenarm!
