Air cleaner center section for 62 Wagon

Hey guys,

I need a center section that goes between the 2 air cleaner on a 62 wagon. Clark’s lists this as a separate part number than a FC. Is it the same as a sedan? What are the differences?

There was a recent post in past 90 days that showed the different center tubes for cars, wagons and FC. Do a search and you will find it.

Go to the California Corvairs site and search for the item crossover. All the photos of Lakewood engines I looked at have a crossover same as the van crossover.

I was under the impression it is the same part as an FC. The difference might be the PCV system?
I believe the oil bath air cleaner for the wagon is the same as the FC.

Thanks guys. I just looked it up in the catalog. I didn’t remember seeing the topic come up. Should have spent more time researching.

Hi Guys,
Just read the topic and a question, some years ago I removed the crossover tube and put on small single air cleaners on my 64 Greenbrier.
Runs fine, what is the crossover supposed to do ?
Thanks,
Bill

One purpose is to act as a muffler to reduce air intake noises.

I would say 61 and 62 wagon and fc are the same. 63, 64, 65 fc have a spot for the clip that holds the PCV.
