Lots of memories in these posts, Dave! Thanks. Doug still has a Corvair, though it is now a V8 powered car. Both Bill Sanders and Louie Lira are in Fresno, and trying to start a Corsa Chapter down there. They do autocross. The Central Valley Corvair chapter in in Modesto is still active, but not many racers. I do wonder what happened to Doug's old car (Not the old-old car) after it was sold back east. At least we know where the brakes went! The guy whose wife raced the Corvairs is Tom Piantinida (SP?). Patty raced it in regional races, and Tom at the National points races. Tom still has a Corvair, and he pops up on here once in a while. I believe Bill Sanders ended up with that race car, after it spent some time in Southern California. Bill also has James Reeve's YS005 "car" and is still bringing it back to racing condition. Enjoy building up your car.
