() Date: November 27, 2019 06:20AM Toyota van engine with subaru transaxle. Its just a thought. Might fit with just removing the heater box. Just trying to start a conversation and stay in a positive mood. Its been a terrible month. ![]() 1961 Corvair 700 Sedan - 3sp - Gasoline Heat - Lowered a bit - Rust in Progress I live my life 19.5 seconds at a time. ![]() Re: Anyone ever reverse the trans and run a waterpumper without cutting into the rear seat? () Date: November 27, 2019 12:57PM That Toyota engine is one heavy large lump. On the plus you could install the oil fill bottle under the hood for automatic oil top off’s. () Date: November 27, 2019 06:08PM I don't know about direction of rotation but the new Honda Goldwing 1.8 L flat 6 is about the same size, weight and puts out 125hp. You would get liquid cooling and Honda reliability. They should be available in wrecking yards. It would make an interesting project that would be a nice upgrade Since no one mentioned a non automobile engine I thought someone should. If you want to go fast use two Hayabusa engines. That would give you about 394 hp in the same space. With liquid cooling and reliability. Just my 2c Joe Joe in South Ga 1965 Corsa 2 dr Coupe Turbo 4sp because I love the looks 18ft Chaparral 180 Sport because I live on a lake, seemed like the thing to do Chevy Pickup to tow boat and tote things Chevy Cavalier because they drive like a go-cart Re: Anyone ever reverse the trans and run a waterpumper without cutting into the rear seat?
