Hidden Treasures

So after receiving some NOS door guards from Clark's that were wrapped in newsprint from 1993 I thought about how many times I've come across NOS or a rare part only to find a hidden treasure not only in the parts but in the packaging as well. Newsprint from the past, stamps, wrappers, receipts, etc.
So I thought it might be interesting to see what other hidden 'gems" other members have discovered in their parts or cars purchases or anything else of interest or unexpected during their "picking" excursions?

For example, I recently picked up a NOS set of Corvair mufflers and headers in pristine condition and while there the gentleman I purchased them from said he had a few other NOS Corvair items still in the GM wrappers that he had purchased sometime during the 1970's. I took everything he had including 4 NOS late sill plates, NOS muffler, NOS flywheel, and 2 NOS rear cove moldings. The moulding box was original GM and was shipped from Clark's sometime in the early or mid 70's. It was like opening a little time capsule and almost as exciting as the NOS parts inside. The stamps on the box were all from 1969-1970 and in great condition :O)

Everything from Clark's now is just plain wrapping paper.
But I used to enjoy getting parts from them that were wrapped-up in portions of their local newspaper.
It was interesting to see what was happening elsewhere. smiling bouncing smiley

True, unless you buy NOS parts from Clarks. Often, they come in the original packaging / boxes. I bought several emblems a year ago, all in their boxes (With the punch card receipts) and clips.

Sorry, I guess I was not very clear on my comment.
I was referring to the paper stuffed inside the package, used to keep everything from flopping around.
