I have for sale a 1961 4-spd transmission with the 4.26/2.55/1.68/1.00 gear ratios for FC / Van (case has no provision for the reverse light switch).

I have been completely through this unit and have replaced all of the blocker rings with NOS GM. Excellent main shaft, synchronizers and reverse gear. $800 plus shipping. Shipping is FOB from New Orleans, LA.

It's not that hard to rig the three speed switch to work with a 4 speed.

I am having a 61 FC clutch gear 3D printed in stainless to see it is able to be done this way. It is substantially cheaper than to have a small run made. However, there are a lot of precision surfaces that may not work well in the modelling. Maybe in the future, with the improvement of 3D printing technology, we can reproduce these out of production parts.

Dang it, I was thinking just last night about posting a
WTB for a 61 FC 4spd transmission.

If the sale falls through, put me on the list.

Oh, I'm committed to this purchase.

I've been patiently waiting, quite awhile, for another since Paul Kehler (RIP) informed me that the second FC unit was not serviceable: [corvaircenter.com]
