Piston Cooling Jets

Does anyone have info about installing piston cooling jets in a Corvair engine?

I'm not sure how much it would help but it might allow a bump in CR.

Thanks...

Just a hole in the rod and bearing to allow a stream to hit the underside of the crown...

Hurts oil pressure.... but for street...most likely not a problem?

I thought the hole in the top end of the rod was to let oil in to lube the wrist pin. Is there a pressure feed though the rod?

He's talking the big end. The small end doesn't have a bearing.
If I was doing it I would run some tubes. I don't see how there would be any pressure or volume at the rod.

Heres a neat link on that topic:

The method that Matt is talking about does work, but is not nearly effective as this way, because the oil shots aren't continuous. If trying the continuous spray method, it is a real good idea to use a High Volume oil pump.

Here's a related link that talks about the holes in the rod method.
