Come down to New Orleans and swap mine out with a NOS two tone non-tele wheel and rebuilt innards and we can make it happen.

Where you located? I have a completely restored '65 column with wood wheel (no cracks) and rebuilt box. The only downside is that you need to use a '66 style column clamp at the top (I have one) as the one the column had originally welded to it had the welds come loose and the column jacket was considered too thin to weld by the restorer. I am in the pacific northwest.

What Dave said ---- As I recall there are several versions in LM's: Early 65, late 65-66, plastic wheel, sport wheel, 67 collapsible version, etc. ALL relatively expensive is in good shape.

Buying the wrong version can be a costly mistake.

Watch for broken or missing parts. A few parts are unobtanium and others can be be expensive, but are reproduced for the Corvette versions.

Note there are folks who buy the Corvair telescoping wheel to be converted for use in the Corvette and have deep pockets!

Al is looking for a 1966 column. Good news - for Al - is that it will work with any 66 steering box.
