WTB: RZ code block or engine
Posted by: scottymac ()

For an engine build, I would like to buy RZ block or engine - special high performance (140hp), manual transmission, air conditioning. Anything turned up in the last six months? Will travel, or pay to ship, but prefer within 500 miles of Indianapolis.

Anyone have a stash of engines they could check? Scott

In case someone is saving their RZ code 140 for a rebuild, I could offer a RM code block as a substitute. That's as close as I've come to finding my RZ engine/block.

Hey Scott, I have an RZ, but it is from a ‘68 and has the code on the right side of the block stamp pad and a partial VIN on the left. You probably want a ‘65-6 block that has the engine code on the left side and no VIN info, but I figured I would put it out there for you, just in case.

Thanks, Mike, besides the RM block, partial build had started on a RB block. I also bought an unstamped replacement block, but still holding out for the real RZ block. One surfaced in Connecticut, but almost 1,000 miles away, attached to the remnants of a car I cannot use. Not sure if junkman has had a chance to haul it out of the gully he said it's been in for 20 years. If nothing surfaces by spring, may have to make the trip east and see what he has! Appreciate the offer! Scott

I might be interested in the rest of Paul’s convertible if you can strike a deal. I’m in Virginia, so not completely out of the way.
