Arizona Corvair Cruise-in Nov 9th Scottsdale AZ 1-4 PM

Everyone is invited to come out enjoy a warm sunny day at the biggest Arizona Corvair gathering of the year!

This charity cruise-in and will benefit the Ronald McDonald House of Phoenix. There is no entry fee but donations are gladly accepted. 100% of all contributions go to charity. The club also kicks in a $100 donation on top of all funds collected.


Location:

Rock and Roll McDonalds at the Talking Stick Pavilions
9140 E Indian Bend Rd
Scottsdale AZ 85250

Time:
1 PM - 4 PM

Set up:
Arrive as early as 12:30 if you wish and help set up the reserved parking area and tents.

Largest gathering of Corvairs in Arizona held each year. New format in 2019. All Corvair-related vehicles and enthusiasts invited to a attend an afternoon and evening of relaxing and enjoying our cars and friends. No judging or awards but each driver of a qualifying Corvair or Corvair-powered vehicle will be entered to win a nice selection of door prizes. Official event runs from 1-4 PM but many plan to stay as late as 7-8:00 in order to show off our cars to hundreds of people attending the Rock and Roll McDonalds Cruise-in at the same location each Saturday.

All Corvairs or Corvair-powered vehicles are welcome. This includes project cars and daily drivers as well as show cars. We enjoy seeing them all as long as you can get them to the show safely.

Cruise-In Schedule

12:30 Setup
1:00 Cruise on in with your Corvair!
3:00 Announcements and door prize drawings
4:00 Event ends but you are welcome to stay until 8 PM to continue showing your Corvair at the main McDonalds cruise-in.

Great day for a show with 26 Corvairs I counted. Sorry I missed a shot of Dave Lynch's LM coupe with the new LED headlights as he arrived late due to road closures on the long drive up from Tucson. We also had Pete and Tina drive down from Flagstaff so the show pulled in more than just the usual local cars. The reigning Miss Arizona was at the show for photos with the owners and their cars plus she helped award door prizes to the drivers.

We were there from noon until 8 PM so it was a full day of Vair talk but worth it to collect donations for the local Ronald McDonald House and to meet some new friends too!

I saw several cars for the first time at this show, including a mid-engine V8 from Tucson and Yenko #42 made an appearance. The owner of Yenko #41 was there too but his car is not quite street ready after a full rebuild over the last few years.

I'd love to hear more about the fuel injected EM turbo!

1961 rampside with a 65 / 67 110 engine, car four speed.
1965 convertible
1966 Custom two door/four door 180 Turbo.

You scrolled down the page too far. That photo was taken by me at the Fan Belt Toss in Palm Springs last October. That car was not at our recent Scottsdale cruise-in.
