Cannot post photos. Converted all my iPad photos to JPEG as per requirement, but still get same message in bold red letters saying incompatible. Anyone know what may be wrong?

Are they too big? Best I know the images can not exceed 500kb in file size.

Nope, I shrunk them under 500kb and converted to JPEG as required, still rejected

Craig adds: That's right of course. Note that all I've had to do to convert "JPEG" to "JPG" is to delete the "E" in the file extension. Works like a charm.

iOS only permits an adjustment to “most compatible”, and that’s a JPEG. No JpG option. Guess I will be emailing photos. Anyone have success converting photos from current IPhone to be used on this forum?

Go to PostImages.org - upper left - Sign up.
Now you can create photo albums and post the direct link to the photo in a message.

Apple strikes again. Steve knows you will never want a .jpg file. On a PC you would just rename the file.

You can rename the files on a Mac as well. It's the iOS and iPadOS devices that pose a problem.

Just try emailing them to your PC or Mac, I think you will find them to arrive in a user friendly format.

That's what I do from iPhone X to PC using the normal methods. Though the uploading is now a hassle as of last month, but that's another story!

It's the re-sizing that caused me trouble in the beginning. Using Image Resizer in Windows PowerToys ended up with the suffix being JPEG and no way to change it. So I started re-sizing each image in Windows Paint instead.
When using Paint it comes out titled as a JPG so there is nothing further to do after you make it smaller.

Good luck.

Cool car WillT!

"Using Image Resizer in Windows PowerToys ended up with the suffix being JPEG and no way to change it."
Right click the file and select properties. You can name it whatever you can type with a few character exceptions.

I'm using MS Office 2010 picture manager, its pretty much the same as the Power Toys. It was part of 2010 Office, but they pulled it from later versions. The good news is that it can be run as a stand alone and you can find downloads. Using the save as function, you can call it what you want.
