All the GM cars I have with TPMS can be programmed without any issue. A couple of button presses on the dash and changing the tire pressure in one tire at a time (usually filling it and let it drain). The turn signals and horn walk you through it. The turn signal on the corner to be programmed will flash, the horn beeps when the programming is complete for that tire.

Too cheap not to try! If nothing else great for trips!

That is cheap. The description is funny. The alarm goes bi bi and the sensor battery is exhausted. Do you let it rest a while? Exercise it more?

When I installed a set of 20 x 10's on my truck, I installed a set similar to that in the photo just above. The only difference is I went for the wheel-mounted senders. The display need a dark background to be able to read it. I check them before any kind of trip, just like I did before (manually), They are useful for us old guys who don't enjoy climbing up and down so much. Some type of Tire Pressure monitoring system is required on all new cars.

I read a lot of the reviews on the one Matt listed and they are 90% positive. One reviewer noted that it is 3.5bar which is 50psi so if you have something that uses more pressure it won't work. I put one on my watch list and I'll order it next time I get a coupon.

So I'm being the guinea pig here.
I ordered the one Matt pictured and another one that was supposed to be able to handle higher pressures.
The latter came in today.
Max pressure alarm can be set up to 95psi
Min pressure alarm can only be set from 17 to 29psi
The sensors are tiny compared to my expensive system
Testing and pictures to come...

On the cheapy.... lowest "High Temp" alarm setpoint is 104F.... so far mine run in the 70's...

Temps are something I've never seen in a new rental car..

Temps are worthless with the stem sensors. They are spinning around out in the air. I'm not concerned about the air temperature near the wheel.

I'm not sure it would tell you until it lost pressure.

That's what I thought... but it's in the 50's here... and warm up in 5 miles at 45 mph.

First impression on using it. It connects to the sensors immediately unlike my expensive one that can take up to 10 minutes.
I didn't check the pressure before installing so I don't know how they agree with my tire gauges.
The display angle is terrible. It's parallel with the windshield and if you mount it at the top of the windshield where you can read it the solar panel on the back is under the heaviest tint.
It has double sided foam tape on either side of the solar panel to stick it to the windshield. No Velcro.
The one Matt posted seems to be the same manufacturer and a better design. It would lay on the dash and give you a better viewing angle with better sun to the solar panel. The solar panel also appears much larger.
It claims to have an auto on/off based on vibration. Supposedly closing the door will kick it on and it will turn off after 5 minutes of no motion detected. Sounds great it that feature works.
It came with a USB cable to charge it but not charger.

Yup that the same instructions.... Solar should keep it charged... but if not just plug it in to a USB port! GG

Right..for older cars...

Something I just realized!

No need to install display unit. for cars not driven regularly!

I've bought a couple... and while testing realized if you placed them in a window in your garage.. and marked them... you could just look before driving the car that day!

Do you think it really measures tire temp, or does it look at the pressure increase and calculate. The tires on my motor home start at 90, but on a hot day going down the road its about 110.

One of these cheap units would seem to be the ticket for monitoring trailer tires.
