That one doesn't look like it would work.
This is what I bought so you can crimp on the car.
Search 71500 A/C Hydraulic Hose Crimper on ebay.

Unless you plan on doing a lot of this type of work, I would suggest looking locally for a shop that makes Hydraulic Hoses.

I would guess that the cost would be comparable to purchasing the tools and parts, and the person doing the work would likely be experienced. You would also likely get a guarantee on the work.

The crimper shown, rnch, is a "face crimper" that's used with barbed fittings. It works well on those but barbed fittings sometimes cut the inner liner found on today's "barrier" hose.

Today's "barrier" hose works best with "Beadlocl" grooved fittings and those require the higher-pressure "bubble crimper" as posted by Joel.

When I did my '66, I used barbed fittings and a face-crimper just because it's much more attractive. Barbed fittings are 10x harder to get into a hose.

When I do A/C work for others, I use beadlock fittings and a bubble crimper because it's so much faster.

Here's what a face crimp looks like compared to a bubble crimp.
.
The smart choice is to use beadlock fittings but for my own stuff, I suffer the barbed fittings just because I like the finished look.

Picture #1 Face-crimp (requires barbed fittings)

Picture #2 Bubble-crimp w/beadlock fittings (recommended but less attractive)

Joelsplace: So you have used this one and recommend it?

I own it but haven't used it yet. It was recommended by someone else here but I can't remember who at the moment.

The Eaton E-ZClip system is way better. I have my 71500 A/C Hydraulic crimper which I don't use anymore. Thinking of selling.

The E-ZClip system is more user friendly and fitting can be reused. Easy to splice hoses and make repairs

There are several YouTube videos of it that seem quite laudatory.

I've used the Eaton E-Zclip system on two Corvairs and it's works well. Perfect for working in tight places with cut and crimp in place. NO LEAKS! You MUST use their fitting and hose so no re-use of the old barbed fittings. Great prices and selection at hose warehouse - [hosewarehouse.com]
