On Thurs or Friday they sold a '65 red convertible Corvair 4 speed with a 140 motor. A Monza that was extremely nice. $11,500

Phil is probably right, but a bunch of nice cars went really cheap on the first day. Hard to say, maybe the drunk rich guys weren't there yet!

Antidotal but I feel, examples of nicely optioned, very well cared for original Corvairs are still appreciating.

I think nice Corvairs have value but are maybe not the car of choice for drunk rich guys. That's not a bad thing.

The red and black custom LM that is on our first page was purchased at the BJ auction several years ago by one of my friends. You nailed it! He's rich and was toasted the night he bought the car. He said he bought it for his wife (right!) but she wanted nothing to do with it. He sold it after a year or so.
