Interesting car. 500 4 door, PG, bumper guards, oil bath air cleaner, back up lights delete. If it was closer to me I would get it. How about you Joel?

Sorry, Tim, but no backup lights delete. They were still an option on 500s in '65.

That car has been on and off Craigslist for a long time now. I'm pretty sure the owner would take less than the asking price. I thought about snatching it up, but I already have a non-runner in the garage that I don't have time for.

I looked at it several months ago. It will take a lot of work to move it.

I came close to making an offer, then I wised up and realized the last thing I needed was another project....even as a parts car.winking smiley

I did my 4 door save for this week already.
It is way too far away for me. I already have another LM on my buy list when I can get to it. Maybe Saturday.

Then again...not. The door posts are rotted through.

Very clearly a parts car (being a 4-door and rotted like that) so why worry about door post rust? Probably can get it for half that if you offered.

Scrap prices are down right now.By the time he hired a guy with a flatbed car hauler to take it to the junkyard and then split the money with him he would be lucky to get 50-75 bucks out of the car.

To me the cost and struggle of moving that thing isn't worth the car itself.

The drivetrain is easily worth half the price of the car. The struggle might be a different story. I also am a FK Cheep. If it were closer than 2000 miles...
