Pantina is fine. I especially like survivors. Many times I can see the progress from show to show, as someone works on their car. I like that too.

I drive my junk more than my nice cars. I'm afraid to park the nice ones anywhere.

I agree with all the others about "patina".

To me it looks sloppy and indicates the owner is a lazy person.

It's just a glorified excuse no matter what the story is to me.

Therefore, I'm not surprised to see so many at Corvair shows.

Sadly, I think it turns away many enthusiasts because it only lowers the Corvair reputation and highlights it's low value.

Let's face it the collector car world is driven by good resale values.

Just cause the Corvair being cheap is good for some folks it's kind of a selfish attitude in regards to it's lasting value and support network.

I think many serious collectors avoid Corvairs because of this.

Generally, only items with value last.

Corvairs have the most extensive aftermarket parts of any car I've seen. Mainly because of Clark's. Is there another car with anything close to Clark's? 10 year old cars have less support from GM.

I thought the 1965-1973 Ford Mustang world has the most aftermarket parts of any cars out there, they have every part reproduced.

I haven't looked at Mustangs. I heard that years ago about 67-69 Cameros but I haven't found anywhere that would prove it to me. Maybe better availability of large parts but not small stuff that you end up needing that Clark's usually has.
