What’s up with Clarks website
Posted by: stratovair ()

Anyone have any issues with Clarks site continually reloading a page until it ultimately fails altogether? I’m on an iPad PRO, and it always worked perfectly , anyone know what’s going on with it?

You have to insert your Passport into your computer for it to pull up a page from the US when you are in the Frozen North aka Canada. grinning smiley

iPads iPhones have this problem with clarks web page. If you use anything else other than apple products it works fine. There are several things u can do to correct this problem with apple users I for one have only tried one fix but it did not work. It is very annoying

I think Clark's is in need of a major site revamp anyway.

This is the Revamped site, Everyone here complained about the old on line catalog, I personally thought the old one was perfect the way it was, Now its been updated and Ruined IMO, Most of the fantastic Illustrations are gone now and replaced with text only, makes it much harder to see that part you are looking for in the break down drawing and then find the number in the text, I am glad I still have the old catalog to thumb though now, lots of the Great info Clarks had is now not in the new revised catalog. sad smiley

I find having the same issue, Dave. I have to select an item to see if they have a photo to confirm if it is the part I want.

I'm thinking lots more video and flash. Drop down menus and pictures (catalog AND real world) that fade in as soon as you hover your mouse or enter a part number. An intuitive database that gives you "kinda sorta" matches when you enter the wrong thing, so you can figure out what you're even looking for. Maybe even a mobile phone friendly version.

You know, something designed after 2015. I guess that's crazy talk.

It is. The search is the only real gripe I had with the old site. Less modern crap makes it faster and more useful.
A lot of modern sites are useless. Pretty stuff replaces useful stuff. MS is a prime example. It changes everytime I have to use it and it seems like I always find links that take me in circles.

MS is?? Most would think Microsoft?

Are you sure you are not talking about the newest Browser "Edge" or "Bing"...that's a search engine..

I'm talking about Microsoft's web site. I use Duck Duck Go and Firefox. Hopefully less spying.

Am I the only one here who orders parts the
'old fashioned' way? I look up the part
number in the catalog then call the parts
store whether local here or Clarks. The
nice ladies at Clarks tell me whether it is
in stock and we decide on best shipping
method. Then I do plastic number, tell her
THANK YOU and hang up my phone. well turn
off my phone but what the heck I am so
old I still say I have an ice box. ggg
