Aftermarket Greenbrier Wheels

Hi Guys,
I brought this up some time ago, thought I had it.
I have a 64 Greenbrier that I want to get Chevy Rally Wheels but can't seem to get ones that fit.

I have measured my current wheels and they are 14", 7" wide 4 3/4 bolt pattern.

The backset is 3 1/2 and that seems to be the problem, most wheels are 4" backset and currently on the front wheels I only have about 1/4 of clearance between the inner side of the rim and the steering arm.

Any suggestions?

Thanks,
Bill

You have to go with 17" wheels if you want to use a more normal offset. Some 16" will fit.

I wrote a tech article detailing how to fit 4" backspace wheels to an FC. Basically, it involved adding 1/4" spacers on the wheel hubs and spacers between the steering arm and hub. The steering arm spacers also required longer bolts due to the spacers. Tie-rods have to be adjusted shorter to compensate for the repositioned steering arm.

Why hasn't anyone tried shortening the steering arms?

How would shortening the arms change the turning radius?
Matt, why don't you make some?
