If the transmission has four bolts mounting it to the differential, it will be a 1960-1965. The 1960-1964 will have a place for the speedometer cable to attach where the 1965 will not.

If the transmission has six bolts mounting it to the differential, it will be a 1966-1969.

I don't remember how to tell if it is a three speed or four speed by looking at it externally.
There are also variations of gear ratios within the transmissions as well, but others will likely add their two cents and correct any errors I may have made.
