I had my Greenbrier modified for an earth shattering world speed record attempt. But the project failed when the actual direction of travel was found to be completely wrong!!!grinning smiley

By the way.. That is a rendition on my actual 1964 Greenbrier, created by The artist Mark Morgan.smileys with beer

Gregory -

I'm curious to know, and imagine others are too, what's been done in back to push that thing that fast! Hope you'll post pictures.

MattNall's answer is the best advice. I do have a facebook blog "Bonneville or BUST" that details with pictures the entire build.
Specific details as to actual engine build can be provided by Michael LeVeque of LeVair Performance.
We are using a double close ratio Saginaw 4-speed transmission and a 3.27 diff. Engine is a 3.0L big bore, radical cam, Porsche headers, Holley 650 cfm 4-barrel carburetor with mechanical secondaries and no choke, LeVair Intake manifold and runners, dry sump oil lubrication, and LeVair vertical fan shroud with a Porsche fan. The engine is believed to make 235 rwhp. We've dyno'd it once when it was not running right and we had 200 rwhp. It's a much better car now. Lightweight flywheel and racing clutch finishes up the powertrain. Pictures documenting the above, and even a video or two, are on the blog. Check it out and follow it for the latest updates as I am really bad about getting on the Forum. Phil has been much better at posting info regarding my exploits. smiling smiley
