engine shaking

my 67 110 was running great after i put pertronix 1 in it for about a week. after that week i decided to rebuild the carbs and get them fresh for the summer. It ran great after but i barely did any driving for another week or two. After that i was driving and i noticed it was driving like shit as i came to a stop. It would vibrate severely, shaking the whole car and rattling everything like never before. i noticed i mustve neglected to hook the vacuum advance up after i put the carbs back on, so i put some new line in but it didnt make a difference. spark plugs are clean and new, carbs are balanced. what could it be?

Did you adjust the mixture? Is the RPM too high, low, or correct for drive idle?

Venturi drip, from bad needle float valves? DO you see gas dripping inside the carbs at idle?
Carbs out of balance at idol. If its an automatic, balance the carbs with the transmission in drive. Wheels well chocked or better... someone holding the brake.
Vacuum leaks?

I would put points back in and check to make sure it is not an issue with the electronic ignition. What transmission and what Pertronics did you install?

He said Pertronics 1, in his first sentence.

After Reving the engine and putting my hand over the port side carb, it appears that some flake of gas goo probably broken free from the carb rebuild was the culprit. I appreciate the help!
