() Date: August 11, 2020 03:03PM This doesn't show the Vair in use but shows end result of an issue on the interstate. Heard loud pop/bang, then noise under car. Then about 20 seconds later loud scraping by left front wheel. Got off the interstate and pull onto some grass. Found the item laying in the seat dragging on the ground. () Date: August 12, 2020 02:49AM It was worse than loosing a nut. If you noticed, PO put double nuts on the hook bolts. I will be going back with metal lock nuts. Body loop for hook bolt broke. I ventured Westward to Chambersburg, PA and attended an outdoor gathering of the Mid Maryland Corvair Club where we had a Socially Distance "Safe" Picnic/Meeting. The Arrow show's my car in attendance. ![]() I have successfully put 175 miles on the car since dealing with the cross threaded spark plugs issue noted in another thread earlier in the week.
