Swung by the park on my way home today.
Was hoping to see some Orcas or Grays, but only saw a few porpoises.
As I pulled in, I drove past a family on bikes.
Their little girl (maybe 7 or 8) blurted out, "That car is OOOOLD!"
Which caused their boy (10 or 11?) to turn and look.
He yelled at me as I drove past him, "NICE car!"
Maybe there IS still some hope that we will have car buffs in this younger generation.
Swung by the Market after that and caught this nice Rag-top Vee-Wee.

An early morning run to the Wally-Mart for grocery shopping; before the Heat & Humidity here in New Orleans builds in.

Skyler's updated factory A/C coped well with the temperature & humidity in the low 80's.

Well, I decided to take my Vair (blue) to work last Friday and low & behold another one showed up! The white '65 belongs to the grandfather of one of the Engineering interns we have at our shop. It's refreshing to see a young guy that's really into cars. He's even the President of his college (UT) car club.

The Corvair really confuses my co-workers, most nice days they see the red ride in the lot.

Actually, just haven't put them on yet. No seatbelts installed yet either eye popping smiley
Dumbass me put in the carpet and seats forgetting about the seat belts. So now I have to take them back out! The fun of being a newbie at this stuff!

Seat testing 2006 Zephyr vs stock '67...both had 3 point belts

Needless to say...no comparison! Support in corners...and comfort! And I had the seat fan going... I'm so "cool" LOL!

Took my 63 GB up on Mt Lemmon. The recently rebuilt motor held up nice, maintained 50-55 mph uphill except for the tight switchbacks.

Yesterday I took my '65 Sport Sedan to work. While I don't normally drive to work, it just so happens though that my upholsterer friends are not far from downtown near my job. I picked up a set of lower seat bottoms in the right color from AZDave. So I took the car in to them at lunch. This is a nice car that has needed a good seat rebuild for a while. Should make it a lot more pleasant to drive.
