Another forum I belong too has an ongoing thread where car owners post recent photos of their cars. I thought it would good to have Corvair folks post periodic photos of them actually having their cars out and about. So many of us, me included, use our cars very little. Then after finally dragging them out, we wonder why we don't do it more often.

Tonight I pulled my '69 500 out for the first time this year. The wife and I took a little ride to Sonic for ice cream and them to get some gas. As usual, the car gets tons of thumbs up and comments. All reminding me that I need to get it out more often.

So get'em out there and snap a pic to post on this thread!!!

Great start! I knew Phil, Dave and Richard could knock this one out of the park.

It's just good to know (and see) that Vairs are out and about. Nowadays a Corvair in the wild is one that's actually on the street being used. There's plenty being worked on in garages, and that's good too. But seeing them perform the task they were meant for is what this thread should be about. Pics of Corvairs being driven or displayed to the public.

My BMW Z3 forum has a similar thread and it's surprising the pics people post. The Z3 Coupes (clownshoes) are sort of a cult car and one guy who actually uses his M Coupe as a daily driver posted a pic of his car packed full of his dogs. I thought it was great , but some of the snooty garage queen owners thought it was quite sacriligous.

But again, post as often as you like. Ifit's been awhile and you have put your Vair in an interesting environment...post a pic on this thread!!!

Most of my impromptu car pics are on my I-phone and too "big" to post on the limited space provided here.

almost ANY pictures to be shared on the web need to be "whacked" down to size.
easiest is to upload them to an online storage specifically designed for photo sharing. I use Picasa.
With the pics located in web-albums, simply copy the URL of the photo you want to post and use the Phorum's Photo icon (up in the row on top -mountain w/ sun) Paste in the URL, and the photo will be displayed within your message.
This makes it easy to post many quick loading photos to your messages and be able to caption them as well.

Another option is to email the pic to yourself. The iOS mail app will ask what size to send.

I may ont drive my '65 140 every day but every week. This year palns to go to Branson, Mo in Sept, then to Nashville,Tn. then to Maggies Valley N.C. Then to Gattlibgurg,Tn. then to Wytheville, Va. Then to W.Va. Then home to Roselle, IL. About 2,500 mi round trip. Last year I won a trophy from CCE for the most mi. from May to Sept. 3,451 mi.
