Brother in law caught me in traffic today. Love driving this car! Nevermind the dirt, a bath is on my 85 mile long list. Lol

We went to a car show at the Gilmore Museum yesterday and parked with a bunch of folks from the West Michigan Corvair Club. Great group of people who invited us right in, with some great looking cars. It's the first car show I've taken the Corvair to, and it was a little over an hour drive from home. The car made the trip with no issues over some really crappy Michigan roads. Like an idiot I didn't take any pics of any of the cars there, but this morning I did take a picture of the info card that my step daughter filled out at the show... I'll do better with the pics at the next one!

That's a start! Good road test... and people test! Next you want to Autocross it! That's where your car will be the most fun!

Central Coast Corsa has volunteered to run the Registration Booth at the San Diego convention next year.

We had a club meeting to discuss exactly what that will entail and a visit from the local Chevy club.

Vintage Chevrolet Club of America wants us to join them for a event this fall...they like Corvairs.

We took a cruise to Allen, MI today to do some antiquing. On the way back we stopped at The Coney Hut, a drive in restaurant near Jonesville on US 12 for burgers and root beer. We left there and went to Sattlers Tasty Treat in Concord. My wife swears they have the best hot fudge sundaes around, but you gotta get them with the crushed peanuts. They were really good, but it's kinda hard to mess up a hot fudge sundae too. We put about 150 miles on it today, and the weather was perfect. She got some earrings and I bought some vintage stickers at one of the shops. There were some really cool Corvair dealer brochures and I found a couple of Sun tune-up cards, but I passed on that stuff.

Been taking the car out more and more since fixing it after the the Memorial Day fiasco. Had a little fun pulling into an abandoned gas station near Ducor.

My wife has been driving her '65 Monza to work daily and all around the county since the CORSA Convention in St Charles--about 3 months! She last drove it Saturday night to the Michigan Tech hockey game [we lost sad smiley] and there had to use an old credit card as a scraper to clear the windows of a frozen lake effect rain/sleet/snow mix. Her driving enjoyment came to an end this morning when I approached the city limit of Hancock in my 01 Dodge 3500 to find the streets repaved with salt. The DPW must have had a panic over this light dusting (and we live +400' altitude above the city). I quick called to tell her to take our new truck instead.

Later this week it is supposed to warm up to the low 50's, so I will give the car a good wash down, change the oil, add fuel stabilizer and top off the tank with Holiday non-alcohol premium. Then, off to storage [sniff].
