Last day remembered on radio
Posted by: Sir Thomas ()
Date: May 14, 2019 06:05AM

While driving to work this morning there was a short segment of "Things in History on this Date" shared on American Family Radio and one of the three items they noted was the last Chevrolet Corvair rolling off the assembly line.

50 years later they are still great cars that are being remembered!

My convertible #5997 will turn 50 in a few hours. Only one other Corvair that is younger and of course #6000 - wherever that one ended up? Bottom of Lake Michigan? Some GM exec's garage? At his summer place "up North"? Warhoops junkyard in Warren, Michigan? In a shipping container destined for Katmandu and they lost track of it? Your silly idea???

Crash tested.

Enjoy the (remaining) Corvair(s)!
