Kangaroo truck

I have, again, problems with the engine in my Rampy. The engine is a 140 hp from a -65 but the secondary carbs are disconnected. The gearbox, an possibly, the diff are also from -65.
My problem this time is that I have to drive on very low gears, and corresponding high revs, from the engine when I drive slowly. If not the truck jumps back/forth like it was missing a lot of ignition points. If I try to go from rolling slowly after a slowdown in second gear and push the gas pedal I feel like Im sitting on a kangaroo. Must shift down to first gear.
In third gear I can not go under 25mph without the bouncing starting. I also have a pertronix (?) ignition.
Any ideas ?

A couple of things I'd check:

1) Did one of the primary carbs come disconnected?
2) Are the accelerator pumps working in the primary carbs?

Motor mounts are also a common source for engine bucking and jumping. Are mounts in good shape? If so and recently installed, are mount bolts or the trans cross bracket tight?

Sounds to me like it's "lugging" which we know it isn't...

Close the gaps on your sparkplugs to 0.025 . 0.6 mm and test.

Also please check the initial timing.. tell us what you have. You want 14 -18 BTDC

One primary carb seems little lame. Just took that carb to peices and the pump works fine. Maybee its a clogged hole ?
Will check ignition and others tomorrow. Time for dinner now.
