good morning all

given everything equal, when installing a high stall converter does it lower the drag of the converter at Idle speed?

I just installed my new Clarks Hi-stall a few weeks back.

Unfortunately, zero noticeable difference in driving.

Eric, Bummer... Where does your engine idle in Neutral?

The first thing you should notice is higher rpm at take-off, which most drivers don't notice anymore after a while. Are you sure they sent you a hi-stall converter?

Am I sure they sent a high stall- well, no outward signs to really tell. This is the second one they sent, first had a weld I was not happy with, and they immediately made it right.

Matt, my 95 idles at something like 700 rpm.

I THINK the convertor Clarks sells is for AC equipped cars... so it's not very noticeable.
