The Reptech gauges I use on the oil filter pressure bolts I sell were bought many years ago and made in South Africa (Swaziland), before most gauge manufacturing moved to China. I don't know where those are made these days.

Here is one on ebay but it is not the same mount style.

I used the oil filter bolt to install the Clarks electric sender/gauge and the gauge reads about 7 PSI low, which was consistent with a replacement gauge also. Has anyone verified accuracy of the other electric gauges mentioned here?

The ones on eBay don’t have the long bolt at the end.

Of course not.

I was simply showing you where to find type of gauge I used. I make the bolts and sell them with a gauge, ready to install. Are you the same person on FB asking about them? No PM messages have come though so I will PM you from here.

Incidentally, the oil pressure and voltage gauges from a 1973-87 GMC truck (and most likely from Chevy pickups of the same era) can be made to fit in the Corsa dash, with some modifications. The biggest problem is cutting out the domed crystals that protect the gauges. The larger crystals from speedometers are preferred.

Then there is what an old geezer like me would do!

Dakota Digital Custom Dash!

Speedometer
Tachometer
Oil Pressure
Oil Temperature
Voltage
Fuel Level
Odometer/A&B Trip Odometers/Service/Brake Warning
Time-of-Day Clock
Hours (since last service)
Hi Speed
0-60 MPH Time
1/4 Mile Speed
1/4 Mile Time
RPM Digital Readout
Hi RPM

Additional Data is available with add-on Bus Interface Modules.

With the "remote" Oil Pressure setup I have the original OP Switch and the Oil Pressure Sender hooked up. The OP Switch drives the CHECK ENGINE LED. The BRAKE LED is ON when the Emergency Brake is set or it sees low Brake Pressure. It has Turn Indicators and a High Beam ON LED. I have the Speedometer driven by a GPS Module so I don't need the Speedo Cable from the Left Front Wheel!

It even 'looks' like the original Dash!

Lots of fun!!!

I go deep into projects like that too sometimes but a mechanical gauge on top of the filter wins for simplicity and low failure points. This oil filter bolt gauge can be installed or removed in about 1-minute without losing a drop of oil.

I know some people (racers) want to see the oil pressure readings constantly but all I need to know is what mine measures at idle after a hot run on the freeway. I check it a few times per year.

I added a dual temp pressure gauge from westach.com. I moved the oil pressure switch to the filter bolt, using a viton oring with a metal ring on the outside to act as a crush limiter and ground. I added a T to the line going to the turbo for the pressure x-ducer, and the temp sender is where the original pressure switch was.
IIRC, I think I grabbed power for the gauge from the CHT terminal.

I like how it turned out.

Vairy nicely done!!grinning smiley

I had considered those gauges but after I bought the '67 More Door and realized how complicated adding the modern gauges I wanted would be I began a long search that ended at Dakota Digital!

The Instrument Cluster is completely sealed and only needs a Cat6 cable to hook it up. The control box is located behind the rear seat along with the GPS Speedometer box.

It was actually cheaper than separate gauges and the added wiring!

I wish there were an easy way to recall or edit a photo from the web but once it's been shared/renamed it's there forever I guess. sad smiley

When I originally labeled this photo, I had not yet tested the gauge on my 4-dr with factory A/C. This Corvair oil filter bolt gauge works on all engines including those with the 90-degree adapter but I can't update the image now that it's all over the web. Best I can do is start sharing the updated version when I see these discussed.

One of these is on the way to Mojan_n.
