Correct. Running 215/45/17 Michelin Pilot Sport PS4 on 17x7s on the front. Rears are 225/45/17 on 17x7. So I do have a relatively wide performance tire on the front.

I guess I am really bad at setting the toe. The alignment shop said it was way out. But sometimes I think he might be embellishing to make it seem like he did a lot of workspinning smiley sticking its tongue out I am really happy with his results so I will keep going. The steering effort increase seems more noticeable now, again still not what I would call significant. One the road it is not twitchy at all. It does require very little steering input to change lanes. The steering arms have no steering stop as Matt had mentioned previously. I have clearance my fenders a bit due to the tire, wheel, and stance combination. Turning radius seems better, if not, just the same as before. I did not notice any scrubbing of tires in tight turns. Car is great to drive. I just wish my front end parts where not so stiff. I am overall fairly happy with the arms and seems ot have done the trick without making it hard to drive.

Is there a list for the next run, or waiting until you have them on hand ready to ship?

I had a chance to get mine installed in my Spyder.

Piece of cake, messing with the alignment took more time.

I found that I could only fit one of the stainless washers under the tierod nut, otherwise I did not have access to the cotter pin hole.

Other than that it was easy, the car at slow parking lot speeds requires more effort but not bad with my 14.5" wheel with 205-14 tires. My 69 chevelle with factory wheel required much more effort with stock setup!

On the road it is nice and responsive but not twitchy at all.

Great Job Matt! thumbs upthumbs up

Just came back inside to look at the pictures on this thread, and make sure that I have things going together in the correct manner.
Should be done in short order.

Very nice, but I'm pretty sure I want you to install them and not me. I'll just add it to my list of things to get if and when I get through the current issue.

Regarding the arms.
I had never driven anything with quick-arms before, so I was not sure just what to expect.
I did notice it requires just slightly more effort. But not much really.
As for "Quick Steering"?
It did not feel any quicker per se, but what I did notice in the little driving I have now done with them (about 5 miles around our curviest roads) is that I found myself entering these familiar curves with the same amount of steering that I usually do, and then backing off because I am tighter into the turn than I need/want to be.

Mel,

You might want to check how many turns of the wheel from full left to full right.

Stock Corvair is 5 turns I think.

Factory quick steering box and arms are 3.25 turns lock to lock.

I have a set of John Fitch steering arms to install in the 67 coupe.

Thanks John, my turns are correct.
I just have never driven a car with quick arms and was kinda expecting a more dramatic change.
The car drives the same, just less steering input is needed to go where you want it to go.
I have 15" Corvette Rallye Wheels on my car.
The offset/backspacing is not what most consider to be correct for our cars.
It is off by about .5" I think it is.
The makes for a full 1" difference from stock when both sides are added together.
Now I am wanting them for the Coupe!
