I love Baseball and I live Baseball. I really have no favorite team, they are all fun to watch, but there AIN'T no ball player worth that much money.

The man is obviously talented and a leader among the players, but not that much.

We have School Teachers buying teaching supplies with their own money, VS guys who only work rather PLAY a game a small portion of the year, who are getting paid $38,000,000 for that time ? ? ?
Hey, if the guy has the power to negotiate that kind of contract, more POWER to him.
Where is that money coming from?
Advertising, of course.
Stadium gate admissions don't even begin to cover the cleaning crew for the Ball Park.

Hey, I love Capitalism. If a guy can get 38 million for playing a game I say great. It is not like he is going to stuff that money in a big room and roll around in it like Scrooge McDuck.
I personally don't care for sports, but then again I don't care for music either. In my opinion these people should stop making noise and get a real job. However, I do like Capitalism so if they can find someone to pay them to make that awful noise then more power to them.
I try to walk the middle of the road in life. I don't "Hate" anyone or anything, I have never been envious of anyone and I see some people that take sports or entertainers too close to idol worship for my taste. Moderation in all things except love.

Baseball is my favorite sport by far, die hard Cub fan since 1968. Trout is definitely a once in a lifetime talent. To think 12 teams (I think) passed on him in the draft....

I am not nurturing resentments Phil. In fact I don't care. Sorry, not a sports fan.

Not a fan of sports either. Waste of time sitting around watching tv for 4 hours several times a week. Used to watch NASCAR, but finally gave up the pretty boy money making "sport. Rather watch some movies and documentaries when I need rest time from garage and yard time.
