The search through old COMMUNIQUE has beaten me tonight. I looked from 1978-1990 every issue. Trouble is I don't know if I missed the ad or if after 1990. I will resume the search tomorrow evening.

best wishes, Steve

Not quite the same as from the pic in 2019 but these have been on ebay and one club member here is using them.

Thanks Dave. I don't believe Autobohn was around when the dual o-ring oil return tubes were being offered. Actually that is what hampered my search last night; I don't know where to start.

Steve,
Try starting about 1971 if you have Communiques that far back and the free time to look. I recall early 70’s.
I wonder how many sets were made?
My experience is that if you clean the block and head surfaces and the tubes are in decent shape the Viton is good for 70,000 miles.

I joined CORSA very early and have the COMMUNIQUE issues from the beginning. I really didn't think it was that early but I can easily make mistakes if I think.

You guessed correctly however, the word is 'time'. My COMMUNIQUE issues are by year in hanging file folders in a file cabinet. Every year I pulled out last night to look through took a while because I would stop when I saw cars or names from the past that are not among us today. Plus the pages of tech topics and the authors. Going back in time can be fun but it also causes some sadness too. Still fun to see cars advertised for sale and connecting the name. I will try to find some time to continue my search.

best wishes, Steve

I've found that as long as the seal surfaces in the block and heads are not scratched or damaged, the viton o-rings seem to be "indestructable". In some cases
I've done the "unthinkable" and re-used viton o-rings on the pushrod tubes with no
leaks. I think the machined pushrod tubes are UBER trick and would run them if I had them1
