Is this going to be a strictly "Show" car, or a driver?
The reason I ask is because while you did a Beautiful job laying that nice gloss black on the dash, I am not sure you are going to like it.
Back when I was a young whippersnapper, I had a Chevy Van my Dad and I customed out.
It had a brown dash from the factory, and I painted it in a beautiful flawless high-gloss black just as you did on that Corvair.
I realized just what a mistake I had made, the first sunny day I drove it out of the garage.
There was glaring reflections of the dash all over the windshield and it really made it hard to see sometimes.
It went back into the garage the next weekend, and got a coat of flat-black laid across the top of the dash, which eliminated the glare completely.
I kept the rest of the dash High-Gloss, just flatted out the top portion that reflected onto the windshield.
