SOLD!! 180 crankshaft

This crankshaft is out of a 180 turbo engine. One rod bearing surface has some rust on it. See pictures. All the others are good. May need turning.
$75.00 plus shipping from 95630.

Nitriding
Nitriding is a heat treating process that diffuses nitrogen into the surface of a metal to create a case-hardened surface. These processes are most commonly used on low-carbon, low-alloy steels. They are also used on medium and high-carbon steels, titanium, aluminium and molybdenum.
Okay, so the above is from Wiki.
Take it for what it is worth.
But for someone who does not know anything about metallurgy.
The above info seems to indicate to me that once you have welded a "Nitrided Crank", you basically just have a regular crank, because you have changed the characteristics if the metal on that one throw.
Am I wrong on this?Any Metal Experts around here?

No, $630 for 1 or 6 when I did my crankshafts. Depends on what you call expensive. Get one from Clark's for under $800 plus ship. Catalog shows none available, you have to call them to see if any have shown up.
