Tricks for stuck heater cable

I've been dripping Sea Foam and gear oil into the end of mine for a week and it's still stuck. Ideas?
I know I should have ordered a new one but I actually didn't realize Clark's had them.

Gear oil? ATF would be much better.

Creepability is what you need, hence the Acetone/ATF mix so popular (and it works). Aerokroil is good too.

I made a funnel around the end and used Sea Foam for several days before I chased it with synthetic gear oil. I shouldn't have used the gear oil until it was freed up.

Good idea Matt. Hopefully I'll have time to try that tomorrow. Thanks!

Sometimes if you soak the outside of the sheath with penetrating oil it will permeate, especially with the spiral wrap sort of sheath. It might take several days of several times a day.

The most likely place that it is stuck is at the back where it has been open and exposed to the weather for 50 years. there is no known way to free it up from the cabin end. If you remove it and work with it you should be able to salvage it.

Does a cable lube tool like this work?

I've used one for years for control cables on work machines. Some of those cables are as long as a heater cable. Not as old though.

I like fluid film in control cables.

My car had been sunk in salt water, all my cables were frozen, ebay to the rescue.
