() Date: February 06, 2019 10:12AM Is this the one Warren had? Was that 361? Was that a 1960 and this a 64? Is that still a Charlie Clark fan housing casting? Looks good. Jim Brandberg Isanti, MN CorvairRepair.com ![]() Re: 362 Racer Posted by:

() Date: February 06, 2019 12:54PM The rear Cross member is held in with Nylon frame Mounts and Suspension bushings by David Kostich. Custom Made Chrome Moly 5 lug axles by Dutchman,FC Bearings. Fully Metalic Front and rear brake shoes by Carbo tech. Late model front end with Crown style Bar,Heim links, rear Brakes are from an FC. Decambered, No Camber Compensator, Racing shocks. Power pack raised up 1 1/2 inches from stock. Yes its a Vintage Racer and yes a Charlie Clark Fan set up. No relation to 361 except for 361s Livery which ive tried to copy right down to the correct Decals. Mike Edited 2 time(s). Last edit at 02/06/2019 01:02PM by v8vair. Re: 362 Racer Posted by:

Is the power pack raised to maintain the halfshaft angles in the lowered suspension position? () Date: February 06, 2019 03:36PM Yes, to get the correct ride height and enough negative camber I had to raise it up. It also has a 66 Yenko close Trans mounted to the 64 Diff so its set back a bit for proper alignment. mike Re: 362 Racer Posted by:

() Date: February 06, 2019 03:45PM Super Cool!! I'm curious about how the power pack was raised, can you share some of the details of that? Also, what tires are those? Chad Guthrie Onondaga, MI '63 convertible Re: 362 Racer Posted by:

() Date: February 06, 2019 06:55PM When the 911 pooch came out, Porsche built the 356 for one more year and the development in racing continued. Swing Axles didn't slow the 356 at all. When the 65 Corvair came out the 64 was left behind. With Modern Radial tires that love camber gain, the early Corvair with its Swing axles should be a Contender in Vintage racing. Its smaller, I still have to weigh the same as the lates but I believe it will have a handling advantage. Time will tell ![]() Re: 362 Racer Posted by:
