I raised the powertrain in my LM EP car as well so the driveshafts did not run at an uncomfortable angle.

Can you tell or show us more about the rear suspension?

Did you notch the front suspension up higher or just lower it with springs?

Did you take some weight out of that rear crossmember and/or A-arms?

Is this the car that Bob, last name escapes me, had with the 64 Bowtie number on it or did you start from scratch?

I have a 64 I'd like to build and have ruminated about LM rear suspension. Maybe I should ruminate on 64...

This car came from Ken Arnold, Kens son did the rear fender flares and smoothed the front under the bumper. Also filled the spare tire and battery area, The car came with a really trick motor,Lightened and polished crank, light weight rods and pistons. Car ran in the 13s with that engine. I haven't cut anything for lightening yet. Once I get it on the scales ill figure where the cutting needs to begin. Rear springs cut. Mike

What do you mean when you say "no camber compensator"? Do you have a 64 transverse spring?

I love the attention to detail on mimicking 361...

Any plans on duplicating the rear fender airscoops?

I have toyed many times on creating a set as I love the look...

Mike,
On an earlier post you were looking to ID the front qtr. decals.
I added a photo of the Bill Thomas/Race Cars "artist's pallete" decal which is behind the Champion rectangle.
Mine was the last post - did you see it?

LOL, I have "looked" for those scoops for nearly 30 years and have never seen one other than the pictures of them on the race car...

The decals change a little over the years but this is what I went with.

Those air scoops resemble ones found on '50s-'60s BOATS!
You might check that avenue for something that is "close in appearance".

Here is a link to one. Check out the "C-4A".

Thanks Mel, I bought some stainless ones but these might work better as I might be able to heat them to fit the fender better. I might just form a block of wood and make a mold, not hard just time consuming

I looked into boat scoops, hood scoops, and all other sort of thing I thought I could find to mimic the shape of the scoops, nothing was quite right and I always figured it would just be a matter of making it myself...
