Thanks everybody...

The wife and I are beyond Stoked.

Haha. So yeah guess we have a few projects to work on.

Our plan is to go slow and have FUN.

I know nothing about the Ultra's. Always been the kind of guy that gets something because it kind of pulls at his heart strings.

I fringing FELL IN LOVE with both the rampside camper AND the Ultra. Give it up to the wife Nicole. Thanks Honey!!

If it didn't come with a Ryerson manual you'll want to get one. They didn't pay much attention to the clocking of the u-joints so if yours aren't aligned you'll need to get the half shafts cut and aligned so it doesn't eat u-joints. Rebuild the rear wheel bearings while you are there.
#When you haul it home you want to tie it down with the wheels only. It can be easily damaged otherwise.
# there are 4 specific jack points. Do not jack up in other places.
# take care when raising the front wheels off the ground the steering linkage can hit the body and get bent. The Ryerson also has instructions for adding braces to it.
#Check the front control arms for cracks. The lowers are aluminum and you need to check the lower ball joint bolts. The Ryerson has instructions on improving them. The uppers have turnbuckles to adjust the alignment that can bind things and cause cracking there.

Ultra van pros near you are Jim Craig in
Joshua Tree and Christy Barden in Nevada

I hope you will start a thread here specific to UV268 so we can follow along.

When UV420 was trailered here, he used a trailer with the bed above the wheels due to the wide track.

They're a trip to drive, I found myself watching the mirrors and where I've been to get a feel for how wide it is.

You now have the opportunity to become proficient in several different trades.

UVs are very cool and I look forward to following your journey. When UV420 was here, everyone slowed down to have a look at it.

When I drive UV500, I aim the LH side mirror a bit low so I see how close I am to the white line. smiling smiley

I too am looking forward to #268 revealing her secrets!
