Or, I've heard drill and tap the yoke flange for the 5/16" bolts on 66-69 models.

I do not have a picture of the rods at this time. They are in good shape except for the bushings, they need replacing. The parts are 30 mi. from me and I will post photos when I get a chance to take them.

In the process of replacing the strut rod bushing on my 65 corsa. The inter diameter of the of the inter steel sleeve is just under about .750 of an inch with a 1/2 inch bolt thru it. Is there a missing bushing that goes inside the inter steel bushing? If I use a poly bushing will the inter hole thru the poly bushing be 1/2 inch? If I make a bushing out of Nylatron (nylon impregnated with molybdenum disulphide) should the nylatron have a 1/2 inch hole in it? I have made shackles bushing for a old jeep out of Nylatorn and they worked fine. Just not sure why the 1/2 inch bolt does not contact the inter steel bushing. Thanks Larry

In reply to the above 3/4" is the correct diameter of the hole in the bushing. There is a washer with a shoulder that goes on either side of the bushing. The shoulder centers the 1/2" bolt in the bushing.

The plate that bolts to the body does have the 1/2 inch holes to center the bolt on the plate but nothing on the bushing. These washers must have worn out or not installed at the factory. Thanks for the part number I will order the washer when I order the bolt. Larry
