One year too early for my bugeye. STI version was not available in the US in 2003.

I still don't get the big station wagon with the mock wood panelling down the side. It's not wood, clearly not wood but yet strangely appealing.

Meanwhile us Brits kept the wood inside the car.

Is that wagon ever really going to be cool? If you're going to go pseudo-modern wagons you have to go 80s Electra. Preferably without the wood but I'd settle for this:

I have one. First year is best in this case, 2004. Crass, powerful unrefined....the most fun daily driver I have been lucky to own.

My 17 year old son WANTS this car.

Closing in on 100k miles.

Blobeyes didn't do it for me looks-wise. Something about those funky bugeye wagons. One of the newest cars I own. My DD at 180k with only Cobb Stage 1 and Borla Hush.

Here's the only one I would even consider:
1994–96 BUICK ROADMASTER ESTATE WAGON

It's got the power to haul, with decent MPG.
Perfect FAMILY car.

The other day my step-daughter, who is 27 and has a Masters degree, asked me what a station wagon was. She had no idea. I guess SUVs do rule the roads these days.

Corvair Haven, I’m With you. I have a 96 Buick Roadmaster Estate Wagon.

My daughter is two years older than Dave’s, masters working on PHD, and would never ask what a station wagon is, as she drove my Roadmaster many times, even with friends loaded in it to the beach!thumbs up. She also drove my 94 Caprice Estate. Did I mention I like station wagons with lots of horsepower?

Dave, you never showed her a Lakewood?confused smiley

Yeah Dave, cannot argue much, it is not a harmonious work of art. It’s oddity has grown on me and it is so much fun I just dont care.

I came close to buying a bug eye wagon in 02...could not convince my wife as it was to be the “family car’. She got a boring Lexus SUV instead.

Hagarty is trying very hard to drum up interest in collector cars.....but the sad truth is ALL collector cars values are dropping fast .

Mel - Can you cite a source for your statement that "ALL collector cars are dropping fast?"

I personally don't see that as the case. While has not been stratospheric growth the last few years, there has certainly be vehicles and marques appreciating.

Hagerty analyzes A LOT of data and commentary before making statements like the Bull Market list that started this thread. They watch the market very closely and report honestly. I wish more people could see behind the curtain and meet the team that works on the numbers. It is truly impressive.

(full disclosure- I work for Hagerty's website as a journalist, but am not tied to the valuation side of things at all)

I think the recent sale of a $2,000,000 Shelby, and a $200,000 Stinger, discredit the idea of "ALL collector cars values are dropping fast."
