Here is 3 in car road racing videos in one if you have some time to watch. The first is Blackhawk Farms, this one has some action in it be sure and watch the mirror also. You can also learn how to change a fan belt in less than a minute and a half. That is taking off the safety belts and putting them back on.

The second and third and even the short 4th are Waterford Hills and I am in some pretty fast company amid all of the Miatas. In the third one if you pay attention you can see where I started 4th overall and in the 4th part video you can see where I start 3rd.

I have to say that this is typical road racing where there is LOTS of intense action and then some boring parts. Want to know a secret? (It lasts longer than sex!) LOL

Why put a V8 in a Corvair? I guess that snippet of video by Mike pretty much answers the question!

The great thing about autocross is that you are really unlikely to hurt either the car or yourself.
My first attempt, the tires on my car were hilariously old and hard - that thing slithered around terribly.
But - didn't hurt anything, and had some fun.

We've got to get more autocross videos on here! Here's a video from a 2012 event, taken with the camera mounted inside the car up by the rear view mirror. The windshield seems to do funny things to the shape of the cones, but you get the idea what the experience is like. Spectators told me the the front inside wheel was lifting on the sequence of three corridors that occur about mid-run. It was a fun course!
