50 years from now I won't be here.
Even if I were I alive, most likely I wouldn't know my name.
If I didn't know my name, I wouldn't know where I lived.
Sooooooo…..

I get very tired of the "kids don't care about cars because they don't drive to work."

Younger generation have to be financially responsible about a lot of things these days, and owning a car (or cars) is expensive. I ride my bicycle to work everyday because it allows me to spend money on my Corvair. Money that if I drove to work every day I would not have. If a person saw me riding to work on a given day and thought to themselves "there is a person who doesn't care about cars," how wrong are they?

I recognize this is anecdotal. But I also find myself surrounded by people (read millennials) who are behaving in a similar manner. Don't judge a book by it's cover? You don't know what those persons you see getting on the bus do in their spare time. They could all be track rats with race cars.

It's not all doom and gloom. Young people care. They are just different than you. They have to be, because they grew up in a totally different time. if they were the same as you, you wouldn't like that either.

In 50 years time I doubt there will be a lot of interest in 1960's cars. Already we're seeing a significant decline in interest in cars from the 1940's and before. Newer cars from the 70's and 80's are becoming more popular but as regular petrol cars are phased out I can see very few of today's kids being interested in old motors.

I'm 39 and love old cars but I'm an exception, most enthusiasts are much older than me.
