Asking price not always sold price.

For $11,500, I'd want the correct 64 rear letter kit on the engine lid.

Wow. I totally disagree with you guys.

Yes, the wrong emblem is on the rear deck, but that's a beautiful car. It's a 64, which is the top of the mountain in value for early convertibles, and it has KH (or repro) knock-off wheels. If it was a Spyder, in this shape, it would be worth at least 2X this price.

I would say this car is easily worth the asking price.

So are you going to buy the car?

I ask only because it is easy for us who are not in the market to pass judgements.

But the value is determined by the price a willing seller and a willing buyer agree on for that particular car.

That paint job would cost half what he's asking, I think it's well worth the asking price. I bet the hood has been replaced and he used the trim that fit the holes rather than filling the holes and drilling for the 64 lettering. I actually think that lettering looks better than the 64, the bar through the name looks good.

Location says Chicago but its posted on Austin TX CL? Could be an honest mistake but does raise a red flag.

Does look like a nice car. Asking prices are just that, asking... I'd like to ask for a free Yenko Stinger but that doesn't mean they're giving them away...!
