Wiring help for a Fuel Pump

I have a 65 Corsa and I need a little help from you guys.

Got my plumbing for the fuel pump done— now I am working on the electrical and it is not one of my strengths. 😔

I am installing the Revolution Electric Fuel Pump switch like Nick Shu. It is pretty cool— after a 3 second prime it will not run the fuel pump unless the engine is running.

Here is my plan and my questions:

Purple wire: running it to the battery and to the positive wire on the fuel pump

Black wire: both will be run to ground

Red wire: it says “switched 12 volt”. I have the module locate inside the car to the right of the tunnel.

What should I try to connect to to grab a “switched 12 volt”?

Green wire: it says to “Tach lead”— where would I find that connection under the dash— and any suggestions on how to connect to it?

Thanks!

Fuse box has a switched inn terminal that you can use. Only tach lead is on back of the tach. You might have to splice into the wire further down the wire closer to where it comes into the dash area.

Thanks Al-- Think I can run the Red and the Purple to the same switched 12V you recommend? Also, what does that Tach wire look like? I don't want to pull my dash panel / instrument panel if I don't have to.

You can run them both off there but make sure you fuse them as there is no fuse or risible link in a Corvair electrical system, unless someone added it. Even it they did. Ad your own fuse for the equipment.

I have no idea on the color or size on the GM production Corsa tach wire from the coil. I have a Corsa dash that I have added my own wire from engine to the indicator. Someone will pipe in and give that bit of info.

One thing you might consider; add a switch with 12 volts and tap into the + wire coming off the fuel pump. If your relay fails you have a backup to get you home.
