Ok, I will need Mat to rotate these pictures. For the life of me, I don't understand why they're straight when I attach them and then for some unknown reason they're rotated 90 degrees. Here are some more. Hopefully Mat isn't far behind and will straighten out my mess. Sorry to all

Now to describe the car. It is in really good condition, not quite as good as the one in the American Muscle Car Museum here in Melbourne but very nice. The paint has good gloss, the interior looks to be in very good shape, the wheel wells are nice and clean, the engine compartment is neat as a pin but not overdone like as if it was jewelry. The car has good stance, sits square and balanced. The glass is very clean with very few scratches. Overall, I would rate it as 95 points out of 100. Estimate of value is $65,000 to $80,000, and that might be a bit optimistic. However, you never know how many people want it, and better yet, how many people with money want it. I'm not sure if I'll bid on it. I'm looking at a couple of other cars (not Corvairs) so we'll see. BTW, the car is scheduled to be auctioned on Saturday (Jan 12) late afternoon, early evening.

One more thing which may be of some concern. The last line on the auction sheet mentions the “original engine” will be included. Great but it doesn’t specify if it’s in one piece, if it runs, or what condition it’s in. The current engine has “T0129RB” code.

Also, I found a very recent Hagerty article on YS-074 saying it is a stage 3 Yenko which makes it only one of 10 known stage 3 to have survived. Not sure how true or factual that is. Also they feel the auction estimate is a bit optimistic. They’re thinking more towards $67,500 (+10% buyers premium)

When I found the car in Kansas from the 2nd owner it still had a Stage III decal on the decklid. I contacted Vince Emme who had also verified a couple other of my Stingers. He verified 074 as a Stage III car.

The original engine when I sold the car was together and running well.

My estimate has been 66K plus the juice for the sale.

I was sent a photo of original engine code (that is supposed to be with it) and it is T1202RB...the image was a close up of the id and nothing else.

Thanks for reading Hagerty Melb-Mike. I am the writer of that piece-> This Yenko Corvair is a Stinger (and it hurts so good)

I used Texas Yenko Dudes comments as part of the piece. He is known as a Yenko expert and those facts can be backed up. Our valuation team did chime in on the estimate and it was quite fun to watch them arrive at the same number as Texas Yenko Dude using the data they have.

Anyone know if the auction will be televised or at least recorded and shown later? It would be interesting to see/hear the auctioneers description. Also a little off subject,Yenko Dude, do remember what stage 095 was new? I seem to recall it being a stage 1 when I had it.
