Hi there everyone, I have made the decision to not pursue a restoration on my 64 coupe. I plan to begin stripping the body of all trim and panels and may consider getting out my sawzall making it easy to take sections to a scrapper.

Anyone within reasonable distance have any interest in 64 bits and pieces pm me with a request...

Thanks for your interest

Would you want to give up the front cross bar and rear seat? I am Peoria IL

Too bad I don't live close enough. I could make some really cool wall art with a sawzall. Cutting across the front 8 inches back from the headlights including the hood. Same thing in the rear. Or, what would be really cool is to cut the car length wise along the trunk and hood openings and have a side of a corvair on my wall.

Is that car really that bad? Does not look bad in the picture.

I have an Oregon clear title in my hand, and the rust is in the floor area..I am just not wanting to spend the money for repairs of that kind that I can’t do my self.

If I do cut the body up, I will of course restain all the doors hoods, and front and rear crossmember as well as the power train.

Or ..sell it piecemail.

Just to follow up, May I enquire just how much interest is there in the front & rear crossmember assemblys by themselves. I am now considering removing them and offering what's left to whomever is intested as a free pickup...

I have some othere engine parts as well

Since towing it away will cost someone time and money I'd suggest offering it at no charge might make it disappear.

it has 4 new tires on it which i can use on my other projects, and i woudnet sell the powertrain for less than 250, i actually would let the car go if someone would show up..i would think you would have to be aq corvair guy to see the value...
I will rebuild the powertrin next year sometime...the body itself is what is in my way, and i would give it away...and eventrually will scrap it if there is no interest by january....thanks for your reply...

I would definitely be interested in the wheels and tires, but I'm on the wrong coast. I could also use the nose bar and wheel well trim... damn.

I believe it was an option ...some say quite desirable in great condition
